Meet the Team
We're Max and Tana Hakaraia, two brothers who started Students Against Grime while studying at university with a simple goal: build something of our own while creating meaningful work opportunities for other students.
What began with a single water blaster and a handful of local jobs has grown into a trusted exterior cleaning company servicing homes, schools, businesses and commercial facilities across Wellington and Auckland. Over the past two years, we've worked with more than 150 residential and commercial clients, delivering professional house washing, window cleaning, water blasting and exterior cleaning services.
Raised to value hard work, reliability and strong relationships, we've built Students Against Grime around those same principles. Every project, whether it's a family home, a school campus or a commercial facility, is approached with the same commitment to quality workmanship and genuine customer service.
Today, Students Against Grime remains proudly student-led, combining professional equipment, proven cleaning methods and a hardworking team to deliver results our clients can rely on. While we've grown significantly since those early days, our mission remains the same: provide outstanding exterior cleaning services while creating opportunities for students to gain valuable work experience and earn an income alongside their studies.
